Travel within our service area, the written update after each visit, receipts for every purchase, and help with any tax-credit paperwork.
Groceries and other items are billed at cost, with no markup. We either pick up your online order (nothing changes hands), or use a small prepaid balance of $150 to $300 that we top up with your permission.
An invoice by email after each visit or monthly, paid by pre-authorized debit or credit card. No cash.
Free with 24 hours’ notice. Later cancellations are billed at half the booked visit, because that time can’t be offered to someone else.
Ontario visits: 13% HST. Québec visits: 5% GST and 9.975% QST. Clients who also receive publicly funded home care may be exempt; ask us.
Estimate
Estimate only. Uses 4.33 weeks per month and the standing weekly rate. The Québec credit is estimated at 40% of the pre-tax service cost; your actual credit depends on your family income and annual limits. Purchases such as groceries are extra.
Gatineau residents
If you are 70 or older and live in Québec, the refundable tax credit for home-support services for seniors applies to help such as meal preparation, grocery and errand services, laundry, and help completing forms. In 2026 it refunds 40% of eligible expenses, up to annual limits, and it is reduced at higher family incomes.
You don’t have to wait for tax time: Revenu Québec can pay the credit monthly through advance payments. We issue receipts that meet Revenu Québec’s requirements and can help you complete the advance-payment form during a visit.

Example: a 3-hour weekly visit at $45/h is $135. With the credit, the service costs about $81 (before taxes).
Ontario’s Seniors Care at Home Tax Credit is limited to medical expenses, so it generally doesn’t apply to household help like ours. Our prices are the same on both sides of the river.
Veterans Affairs Canada’s Veterans Independence Program can help eligible veterans and survivors pay for housekeeping, meal preparation and grocery shopping. We’ll provide the invoices you need.
